The Audio CD format is 16bit, 44.1khz. If you want to burn 24 bit audio to optical media you need to burn it to DVD. Discwelder is a suitable program for this. DVD-audio supports 5.1 24bit 192khz audio. Alternatively you could just put the files on a data CD.

    Hope that helps...

well, i am dj so burning to dvd won't be economical. i record in 24 bit for better sound quality and just want to be able to pass my mix cd's out that way. I guess I just have to stick with 16 bit. still doesn't make sense. the files are the same size regardless of 16 or 24 bit.

    thanks
