I'm just trying to uninstall my softmod and hacked dashboard to revert my Xbox back to its original state. Someone here told me that I need to backup my EEPROM before I uninstall, otherwise my Xbox will get screwed up.

Can someone give me a tutorial on how to unmod my Xbox using UnleashX? I've looked everywhere and haven't really gotten a straight answer as to how to do it.

When I got to the softmod menu there's an option for "Restore MS Dash", shouldn't I just be able to press that and it'll restore everything back to normal?

Are there some other things I should do before I uninstall the UnleashX Dash and Softmod? By the way, I used Softmod Installer Deluxe 2.0 to install the mod and I used the Splinter Cell save exploit.

Also, if I don't back it up, in what way will it ruin my Xbox? I really just wanna be able to get back on Live. I would like to thank everyone here who's tried to help me out, but I still need some more advice.

YOu should be able to use that option but the reason you need your eeprom to be backed up to your pc is because unleashx might fail to restore M$ dash. Then if something happens to your hdd you can fix it using your eeprom. Its just safe to do it. YOu should have done it as soon as you had your xbox moddded.
