I used to run v0.22 of devhook on my PSP and also had UMDloader 0.8c. With these I didn't need to have a UMD disc in the PSP to run any iso files. Why do I need one for 0.45? I assume I do need one as I can't get it to work without, just wondering why?

well, that is the way how devhook was created. to me, it doest matter if it require UMD disc in it or not. as long as it plays, i am happy with it!

No you need to have a UMD to mount the ISO, image along with the loader. Even a sample disc will work.

If you dont have any UMDs than you should be trying to run ISO at all.

I believe that you can only play ISOs that require 1.5 firmware in devhook without a UMD. Any higher and you will need one.

Surely not too much to ask that you actually purchase 1 when no doubt you will be playing many for free.

Theres information which is needed in order to boot a game on the UMD. Basically the .iso maps over the current UMD data, but needs the neccessary information to boot the game. Thats why when you say put your wipeout pure game into the drive, under the main psp menu it shows the iso you chose bootup background and not say the wipeout.

yes your backups. But all good pirates(we all know who you are.) must purchase a game before you backup the internet hard drive.

LOL thats it, downloading games should be legal, becasue your backuping the internet whcih you pay for. Food For Thought.
