why is ipod touch costly than the iphone

    hi i was wondering why the iphone 32gb cost 299.99 but for ipod touch is 399.99. i mean the touch line don't have the phone function but even more expensive than iphone, dosen't make no sense!!!

    That iPhone will be "subsidised" on a contract, i presume, so you have to pay an extra amount every month for 12 to 24 months for the contract.

    An unlocked iPhone 3GS 32GB is £538 (interestingly, even though newer and better, it's cheaper than the old iPhone 3G which is £600 for an unlocked 16GB), an iPod Touch 2G 32GB is around £260.
