Why Is It Prohibited

    Why is the asking of subtitles prohi bited here? Are they considered illegal? Not trying to stir up trouble, just curious.

    Subtitles are protected by copyright law, just as the video or audio portion of a movie is. Downloading subtitles has the same legal consequences as downloading any other copyrighted content.
