why is AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Processor ranked higher than any other processor out there, Pentium has 3.0gh speed and this one has only 2.2gh so why? I want i fast processor for gaming.
What has happened here is you've fallen into the 'AMD's speed is slower yet it's better, how?' trap. AMD's Athlon64 3500+ will effectively be running at the same speed as a Pentium 4 3500, if it existed. The processor uses other technology to mean that it uses a lower CORE speed to achieve a similar actual speed. This also means it runs cooler too! The A64 3500 is an awesome processor and certainly better than a P4 3000. Gaming is really the domain of the Athlon 64.
