I hope someone can help, I have downloaded the trial version of dvd x copy express. I placed a dvd+r in my burn drive and the dvd I wished to back up in my DVD Rom drive. as soon as I stared up x copy it detected the writable media and ask if I wanted to make a straigh back up burn after clicking yes all seemed well. after completion I went downstairs to my Panasonice dvd player to see if it had worked. Very dissapointed as my trial copy does not play on either my pc or dvd play. Can anyone help me as I am running out of options for backing up my dvds. I have nero 5.5 with the upgrade does that work if x copy does not. many thanks in advance.
Do you have XCopy too? If so make sure you have checked Nero as the burner in 'Advanced Options'. Also check compatibility (right click on Xpress - properties - compatibility). Also try with a different make of disc bearing in mind that some DVD players do not play some discs. You can also try using DVDShrink (free from this site) to download the files and then burn with Nero. This should help to find the prog that's not working.
