Right click the file and properties. The data should be exactly 1,459,978,240 bytes, if its not, you'll have to use fstfix. Check boko's link thread sticky for the file.

Yes you are correct the data shows 1,459,978,240 bytes, But after clicking on Nero and burn image and selecting the iso and then clicking burn i get this (there is not enough space to burn this compilation on this disk blah blah..
data to be written 1,392mb(1,460,285,440 bytes)

space available on disk 1,139mb(1,194,328,064 bytes)
ok that is whats going on and after reading so many threads i still have not found my answer, can someone point me in the right direction or give me an answer or point me to a thread I may have missed , I just would like to know as several freinds and family members are shooting this way and I've no solution,I'm not really a noob ,well maybee to gamecube but all other systems im comfortable with, cept my daughters gamecube please help!

Either your discs are screwy, or you need to make sure to finalize the disc, so it doesn't try adding extra space to it.

Ok,here is the exact media I use,(Maxell DVD-r camcorder 30 min 1.4gb) after searching the net I've found that a lot of the mini dvd-r's dont say (camcorder) would this be the reason? as this is the only media supplied in my area(province)

It doesn't matter if they say camcorder or not. They're all the same thing.

Same idea applies to how some CF and SD cards say they're for photos but really they'll hold anything.

OK, one good program you can use is Cubesoft Phoenix (google it) this program has a lot of utilities for the Cube and one of those utilities is being able to get rid of the trash the game hay. You might want to give it a shot

Getting rid of all the garbage data supposedly causes your laser to wear out faster. I don't recommend it.

No, it does worse than that, Venom. It means that the laser isn't able to read the loading offset so the game wouldn't be able to load at all. If the initialization string isn't found in the first 32/64/128/256/512 bits of the disc, depending on however the hell the Gamecube was designed, then it assumes a faulty or damaged disc and won't continue to read it.

Though, this may have been adjusted with the use of modchips, it's just the standard method the gamecube would use and why you would NEED to finalize the disc(otherwise it creates a buffer for the next session and that would cause all sorts of shit)

If those are really the only mini DVDs available in your wretched area, break down and buy them online.
