I was using DVD Shrink fine to decode and burn. Then one day it started defaulting to Nero to burn. I tried everything to get it back like it was before, but no success. I really like Shrink but it has really got me stumped with its behavior. Please don't tell to got to the burn settings tab...been there and done that, I am not that new.

Or after you click backup,in the select target window, hit the drop down and you should see a burn with nero option, and then chose your burner.

I too, am having the same exact problems. Had problems copying "Are we there yet" and had to update Decrypter plus before updating downloading the DVD4 that I read on this forum was suppose to help copy some protected DVD's as "Are we there yet" Was able to copy it after updating and it allowed me to burn 1 dvd using Nero but, then tried with a second disk backups but, doesn't kick Nero in to burn the DVD as many times before. Yes the check is selected to for Nero to burn the disk. Like the other guy I know about computers and have tried to solved the problem myself.

    Any ideas?

Try outputing an image file (iso) with DVD Shrink. Then burn the iso image file with DVD Decrypter. You'll at least know if your burner works if this is successful.

If the above works, I would then uninstall Nero, then use the Nero Cleaning Tool, restart, and then do a clean reinstall of Nero. Nero is the likely culprit. At least it usually has been for me which is why I seldom use it anymore, preferring DVD Decrypter.

In one way are another it seems everyone was right. Before having Nero as a default option I never notice how Shrink" are what ever the default burner was" because the burners default screen did not show. I was under the impression that Shrink was doing the burning. Senior is right, when I first down loaded Shrink it did suggest I use Decrypter to burn. After uninstall and reinstall of Shrink, I disabled Nero as the default burner and Decrypter became an option. This is really great for me because I have always wanted to ask a question and not seem stupid. Thank you guys for making it real easy.
    Peace Dickeyjay
