Why the large range in CPU temperature?

Ok, so I now have liquid cooling for my quad-core CPU. Now, according to my BIOS Hardware Monitor and the 'SpeedFan' Program my CPU is always around 13-20 Celsius. However, when looking in more detail through SpeedFan at the different core temperatures they are ALWAYS 10 degrees hotter each core having only around 1C difference, Example:

    CPU: 13C
    Core 0: 24C
    Core 1: 22C
    Core 2: 22C
    Core 3: 23C

How is this possible? Only SpeedFan displays the temperatures of the different cores whereas my BIOS Hardware monitor just displays the CPU temperature, which is always the same as what SpeedFan says it is. Could this be a software problem with Speedfan? Or maybe some factor I don't know about? I'd really like to know the answer since I am not sure which temperature I should pay attention to.

The core temps will always be higher, it's just a fact of how the CPU works. I wouldn't worry yourself about them though, it's the main CPU temp that's important.
