Why won't mpeg-4 play on quicktime?

    Can mpeg-4 type files play on quicktime by downloading some sort of codec? or is it impossible to do so? Help please!

    Depends once again exactly what you mean by MPEG-4. To be honest QT's MPEG-4 support is pretty crap. Aside from it just being crap in general.

    QT can decode SP MPEG-4 and basically MP AVC as well as LC aac. Built in mp4 parser is also somewhat buggy though.
