wi fi antenna

    hi I am living in apartment and there is free wi fi but my problem is that connection is on..off..on.off and is frying my head. the girl in mgmnt office says there is an aerial or antenna that i can get.. Can anybody recommend which one to get

    I just purchased a 2.4GHz antenna for my son's room. Running draft-N, he went from no signal to full signal.

    If you're using a laptop, you might be SOL because laptops with built-in wireless and/or PC cards rarely have an external antenna jack.

    If you're using a desktop with a PCI wireless card, you can unscrew the provided antenna and replace it with a wired on to see if you can get a better signal.
