do you actually need the gen microsoft wi-fi adapter or can you use others readily available, and if so what is recomended?
i just tried my USB 2.0 wireless adapter that i use on my HP Desktop but when i plugged it in, the LED on the adapter did not come on so it seems as if there must be driver software installed with my NETGEAR WG111v2 802.11g usb 2.0 adapter. I am working on using my extra USR-5461 MAXg router as a wireless bridge because that router has an option for bridge mode but i have been reinstalling windows vista on my laptop recently so ill try and post some results soon.
