im wondering, is there anyway to convert a widescreen movie (avi)to a fullscreen movie? if so plz post any good software that can get the job done thanx.
Three ways. 1) Encode directly to 4:3. This will make everything stretched taller than it should be. 2) Encode to pan/scan 4:3. This will cut the sides off, but leave it full screen. 3) Encode to letterboxed 4:3. This will put black bars top and bottom, but nothing stretched or squished. All 3 of these can be accomplished in tmpgenc, as well as most other standalone encoders. Which one did YOU want?
how about just the normal average fullscreen u would see on a normal dvd. Can u tell me the steps to doing so using tmpgenc? thanx alot
i got the program, its converting it to fullscreen. One question, does the movie lose quality if converted to fullscreen or would it stay the same?
Because it needs re-encoding, you will lose some quality. Did you figure out the settings needed in tmpgenc?
