I'm thinking about trying out Linux and was wondering if anyone out there could tell me if it would be possible to use WINE and/or CodeWeavers WINE Crossover to still be able to use DVD Shrink? Thanks a bunch.
Yeah, Shrink works fine under Wine. If you're wanting to try Linux, I recommend a user friendly distribution like lindows or mandrake at first, or maybe one of the bootable distro's like puppylunix. I too am just now getting into Linux... any help on setting up shrink to work under WINE would be appreciated. Thanks...
just install the Wine rpm and then you can find the exe file for shrink if it's already installed in windows. Simple!
what kind of comp do you use and what kind of linux. I'm debating on getting an AMD system in the near future and switching completely to Linux. I'm sick and tired of Windows but I don't like Apple so much. Also, how many windows programs do you (succesfully) migrate and use with WINE?
I'll give that a try... what if I want to go "full Linux" without windows then how could I locate the exe file if I have no windows OS running?
