What WiFi software are you looking for?

If you have a wireless router or the Nintendo WiFi dongle, you shouldn't need any software. You should just be able to select WiFi mode in a game such as Tetris or Mario Kart and set it up from there.

    I doubt it's a firewall.

Have you tried just using File Explorer and selecting setup.exe on the disc without waiting for it to auto load?

Have you tried using that disc in any other computers? Maybe your lens is a bit dusty. If you can't get that disc to work, you might just have to find someone willing to upload theirs since I have no idea where you could get it otherwise.

Also, what kind router and wireless protection are you using? If it's WEP, you can get that right off the router settings. As long as the router's default password hasn't been changed, you can get it right off Google.

    Linksys? Well that simplifies things.

All you need to do is use a computer that is connected to the router with an ethernet cable, then open up an internet browser and type in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. This should either bring up the settings screen for the router or bring up the log in screen. It's probably just admin for both the password and the user name, so try that first. Then select the Advanced tab and select the Wireless tab. This should have your wireless protection settings, and you can get the WEP key from there if that's what they used.

If for some reason admin doesn't work for the password, here's a list of default passwords for routers.

If it isn't admin, then the Geek Squad might've changed it to something else. According to that list, the default password is always admin...

I'd find the Geek Squad service receipt and see if it has any useful information on it (router pass and/or WEP key).
