I have bin getting the wlan error on my psp since I bought it from ebay. It never gave the green light indicating the wifi is on glow. I decided to open it and look at the wifi card. Is there a physical switch on the psp's wifi chip itself so that i can make sure its on. I have my psp opened and am looking at it. I think i read somewhere that a few reasons the wifi isnt working is:

    1) the chip is corroding on the board

    2) the chip is coming off the board

3)the chip is off the board

As is stands now the chip looks ok and is not unattached. I dont want to put the psp back together without some tips for what i can do.

You might want to make sure that the wifi card you have is the correct version for your motherboard. Can you post pics? If not look on ebay for psp wifi cards the sellers usually indicate which motherboards the wifi cards go with. Check to see if the grounding plate is the correct version too.

can u pm me your email/instant messenger. i will still b posting here so that anyone with a similar problem can look at this for help. or if u use msn/windows live messnger u can add me. its the same as my name with athotmail(dot)com at the end. i dont really read emails so if not reply here if u cant/wont add me.

other than that i will c what i can do bout the taking the pics of the wifi card. but i have never post a pic on this site so am not sure how to do it.

but as far as i know these are all the original parts for the psp. it was never opened. the seals were not broken when i opened it. the chip looks like it is on the board firmly.
