Ok here is my current stats: NTSC Wii modded with Wiikey1 sitting on 3.4 firmware and 1.9g or s one of those 2. I Currently have HBC installed, and the only app i use is the GeekBox to watch movies off my external. My question is if i upgrade what are the plus and negatives? I mostly want to upgrade to get the map pack for COD WAW off the shop channel ( if that's even possible)and will the 4.0 update effect my geekbox app? Also is there now a way to load games off a external? Instead of using all these dvds? If this is possible, is it if i update to 4.0? I've been out of the loop for a little bit, so any information would be greatly appreciated.
Do a little searching all of this has been covered in previous post. As for 4.0 effecting GeekBox you might need to do a little more research on this. Some apps are effected by 4.0 and some are not.
What is this Map Pack for Call of Duty that you speak of? I don't see a map pack in the shop channel. I had 3.3 with the October 23rd update for the longest while, I have 4.0 now. Edit: And Geexbox still works for me. I'm more of a MPlayer CE person though. DVDx still works. As you should know, if remove the homebrew channel from you system you won't be able to get it back... Actually I think they just found out a way today to get it back on 4.0 if you have a cIOS and a modchip. I believe it involves Mario Kart.
