I have modded my wii with wiikey 2, and up untill I upgraded my wii to play on the internet the standby light has gone from red to yellow and the drive surrounds now fades in and out. I modded a mates with a drivekey and also this one has a yellow standby light... My question is can this be fixed? And will this cause any damage?
hahahah, ahh sorry need a good laugh, i was freaked out myself when i noted this. it is because of wiiconnect24, just go into your settings, go to wiiconnect24, go to slot illumination, and select off. that wiull turn the blue light off from around the drive bay. as 4 the yellow light, nuthin u can do about that except turn wiiconnect24 off.
Well I can see how some people become worried by this if they think that the Wii is overheating and causing an "error message". Like the RROD with the 360 or the YLOD with the PS3. But not to worry- that just means that WiiConnect24 is turned on.
ALL GOOD wii connect is now turned off standby mode and back to red light as for blue ring comming up thats off too.. thanks heaps
