I have a 754 board with three slots now holding two sticks of kinston value PC3200 cl3 ram. Will it help to add another stick of the same? I use my pc for gaming and video editing.

My processor is an amd 3400 64bit, and I have an ATI 800xl video card.

    The motherboard is a nvida3

    regards

What operating system are you running? If it is ME or early, the extra RAM will actually slow down your computer.

If it is XP, it will help, especially when viewing edits while doing video editing. It won't make a difference for encoding, which is CPU intensive, not RAM intensive.

go with more ram as will help in video editing & in gaming. you must have 2-256meg sticks right now if adding 512meg equals 1gig.

Tks again for replies. No I have two 512 sticks for a total of 1gb and am looking at adding another 512. It looks like this is the way to go.

With video editing you can't have too much memory, so go for it!
