Hi everyone, I'm thinking of buying crysis warhead, but I was wondering if it would run on my laptop. Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5900 (2.2GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache) 3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz 128MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS (Running Vista) My graphics card has too little memory according to http://www.crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=34404, but I have COD4 and World in Conflict and can run those fine on lowest settings. Thanks!
The card in your laptop is a weak one. Sorry to be so blunt, but that's how it is. It wasn't meant for gamimng. You should be able to run it on the lowest settings at a lower resolution, but I am not sure. What resolution do you play cod4 and WIC on???
Before i got my 8800GT i had a 8400 in this computer, though the other components were better so it's not a perfect representation, but i think it did run Crysis at minimum settings ok. That said, i wouldn't have bought the game to run it on that, it looks kinda rubbish... You could try downloading the Crysis demo, or the Crysis Wars free trial they've got going until the 28th (look them both up on google). I'd suggest the Crysis demo because it's about a quarter of the size of Crysis Wars, yet still large.
As mentioned above, the best thing would be to get your hands on a demo of the game. If you can run the crysis demo, then you will be able to play warhead
you could try system requirements lab at http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest from you laptop to see if you could run it.
Thanks for the help. I went to can u run it and it said that I passed the minimum requirements, but under Video RAM, it says that I have 1.4 gb, but I only have 128 mb. Why is that?
That is because the amount of memory your video card has built in is 128MB, however your card has the ability to take some of the ram from the pc and use it as video memory if it needs to, so that is probably the max it can have even after borrowing from the ram
