Hi guy's, I just got a call from my mate in swords regarding his Digivox XL.
His provider is N*L. Just wondering if the UK fix will work for the Digivox XL over here ? I take it we use the same 'downloader10.exe' and just the new .bin file ?

    Thanks

Should do, will be trying one myself later, but am not familiar with these boxes so could be a bit of trial and error on my part.

Yes I was thinking it should too. He's dropping it over to me tomorrow so I'll have a bash at it, but like yourself it'll be the first time I have a go at one of these boxes. I read the tut and it seems pretty straight forward, but we shall see tomorrow.

Have been just doing it now, everything seemed to go ok, but it is still not unscrambling the channels!, tried factory reset, auto scanned and went into (secret) menu and turned emu on but no joy yet!!

I'm not familiar with these boxes at all but is it saying data updating or just scrambled channel ? Saying that, the reply lite doesn't say data updating it just auto rolls when it has to.
Try turning to s*y2 and see if it unscrambles.
Hopefully some of the guy's more accustom to these boxes might be able to shed some light it.

Yeah, have left it on Sky Sports but nothing happening, will trawl through the threads tomorrow and see where I went wrong, too tired to do it now.

Rather than S*y sports, put it on Channel S*y2. It seems to be working well over the past few days.
I'll have a shot tomorrow too.

    hi all,

since the great re scramble on the 18-12-08 i have been looking at trying to flash the latest image onto my aunts digivox. its one of the silver ones if that matters.

i have tried V4000 and got the CMdL message which means bad flash. so i reflashed V1220 which got the box talking again although there was an error message.

after flashing V1220 i thought i would try V1240 but this simply resulted in the bad flash message again.

i reflashed V1220 to get the box talking again and flashed the original image V2800.

The emu is on and the box data is being updated to 220 % then restarting data is being updated again.i switched the box off and on again and the data is being updated message started again.......

is there a working image for this box for dublin ? my own dm500c is working great, i just flashed the new image and all problems were overcome.

any advice would be great guys.

    Thanks A Million

    Mark ..

    so.........

I have discovered there seems to be 2 types of digivox.

theres the silver one, the one i have. and there seems to be another.

there seems to be two types of software as well.

V1220 seems to be the basic for resetting both types of boxes after a bad flash.

V1230 and V1240 seem to be the latest for the other box type. i dont know if they work or not its just what i have picked up from scanning the threads.

V2800 and V4000 were the ones i was running up until dec 18 2008.

the story i am getting is V4200 is the latest one as at 20/12/08.

Unfortunately i have flashed V4200 and only get the free channels, rte 1, info tv, the city channel etc.

i have tried all the usual suspects, starting and re starting the emu. re booting the box, re scanning different networks but still only the free channels..........

i read somewhere that someone manually put in the xxxxx (rhymes with nodes) and all was well. i am guessing that this is only a temporary fix until the xxxxx are re scrambled, then the good old bad old days of scanning the net for new xxxxx and manually putting them into the box every few days will return.

i personally have a dreambox dm500c and this has already been fixed, unfortunately the same image will not flash onto the digivox (i tried). i can only hope that somone somewhere will programme an image for the digivox. if theres any programmers who think the image i have for the dreambox could in some way be changed or used to work on the digivox, pm me and i will email you the working image.

if anyone out there has a working image or suggestions as to anything i may be doing wrong i would appreciate any assistance offered.

if i come across a solution i will post i here

thanks for reading my essay. lol

    good luck

    Hi guys,

Need some help! Just got a new digivox xl and flashed the v1250 firmware onto it but when I try to scan just keep getting 0 channels found. Any ideas anybody? I'm sure it's something simple...I have an silver/black digivox and that works a treat....I'm in Dublin/Ireland
