Hi guys. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum, I didn't know where to put it, but I want to get your opinions on something. Do you think DVD prices will go down a lot once the new digital (movie) format(s) comes out (kind of like the demise of VHS after DVD emerged)?

I don't think they will until there is substantiated success with the new format.

Think about it. Did CD prices change when Mini-Disc came about. Thankfully for the companies too because How many new Cds do you see released in that mini-disc format. Plus the companies will want to think about their shareholders and how much they would lose if Cd prices were to drop.

Yeah, I see prices staying the same giving the companies a chance to make more money off the new formats.
