Im sorry new to the board and tried to search for this specific question but it didn't turn up in the search. So here goes....

I got a xbox 360 from a friend that flashed his samsung with the wrong key, so all I have left is a dvd player, but I understand the Globe 360 will allow me to play games because it will bypass the Key check..

I don't intend ever to go on live, so I really just hate to trash the system because its virtually new just the stupid drive key is lost.

Will the Globe Chip or any other chip for that matter allow me to play games, or am I stuck with a 400 dollar dvd player?

I've checked and seems the globe 360 will help with this.

That is the impression their advertising gives, but it isn't true. Without the key the mobo is a paperweight. The key check is a fundamental part of the boot sequence, and cannot be bypassed.

Man just as I figured, thats why I didn't purchase one till i was sure.
There is another chip I heard might be able to get the key off the system but they have not done so Yet... so I'll wait to see if they ever
    successfully do this.

I know someone that has a reball station, would it be possible to swap cpu's to get the key? does anyone know where they key on the 360 is located? I've been in groups before where some have said the CPU and others have said in the southbridge.... can any of that ever been confirmed?
