    Hi

Could an expert tell me if my psu will be able to handle this spec please.

    Pentium D 3.2ghz dual core
    6gb ddr2 800
    8800gtx
    2 x sata hard drives
    6 x 15000rpm hard drives
    Scsi pci-e raid controller
    scsi pci host controller
    2 x dvdrw drives
    Card reader
    usb pci card
    4 120mm fans

    thermaltake toughpower 850w psu

I think thats it for now.. this was a bunch of random equipment i have picked up along the way so decided i would combine it together to make a decent server for streaming. going to add it all in soon so thought as its alot of hardware i might be doing the psu alot of harm, so thought to ask about in case i need to buy a second psu.

    Thanks

That PC will use roughly 400-420W at full load. An 850W PSU is frankly overkill.

Maybe a corsair 850 is overkill...but that thermaltake will probably struggle to make half the rated wattage.

No Killerbug, the Thermaltake Toughpower is a CWT unit underneath, the exact same as the Corsair TX.
