I'm about to put my PC in for a major upgrade, and I was wondering--are people who work on computers compelled by law or anything to report software like DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter when they find it on a customer's system--or for that matter, file-sharing software? In other words, should I remove these programs before I take it in? I'm going to have them clone my hard drive onto a new, larger drive, so I assume they're going to be looking over the contents at some point.

I look at the above paragraph, and it actually looks kind of silly and paranoid, but I thought I should ask, just to know for sure.
