    Hello All

Can any tell me if a Pentium 4 3GHz processor would be ok to put in an Epox EP 4SDM motherboard. The reason I am checking is I know it can take Pentium 4 2.4GHz but I don't know if it will take one up to 3GHz. At the moment my PC has a Celeron 2GHz processor and I want to upgrade it to Pentium 4 3GHz if I can. As I am doing more work that is making the Celeron work to it's full power.
I would be very thankful for any advice..

No. That motherboard only supports 400mhz FSB. Im guessing that 3ghz is 800mhz FSB. You are gona have to find a MB that supports 800mhz FSB and also if that is the case you are going to have to get PC3200 Ram. 800 FSB dont use anything less than PC3200 ram

Thanks you are right I would need 800MHz. I think I'll try and see if I can go for a lower processor that is a little higher than Celeron I have. Thanks very much for info.
