i want to play battlefield 2 my specs are: Pentuim 4 3.06 GHz 1.5 gig of RAM and a XFX GeForce 6600 GT / 128MB DDR3 / PCI Express / SLI Ready / Dual DVI / TV Out / Video Card will this work out can i play on high setting or medium? thx in advance
You Gotta Be Kidding??? Of Cource your system can Play Battlefield 2, Your System can Play any Game there is on Medium to Ultra High Quality settings..... I think you knew the answer before you asked it as No one Spends $200 on a Video Card without Knowing what it can Do.... Cheers
i jus wanted to make sure, because battle field 2 need a good pc and i heard that that g card can only run bf2 on med settings and with high seting but they'll get lag spikes. and it says bf2 recocmends 256 mb vid card. this is a 128.
Well the 6600GT may only have 128mb of Ram but the Ram Runs at 1000mhz which is over twice as Fast as some other Video Cards... I had No problems Playing Battlefield 2 on Low Quality with my 256mb Gforce 5600 which is about 25% as fast in Performance as the 6600GT... The 6600GT is Faster than the ATI X700 Pro and will Give the ATI X800 Pro a Good Run for it"s Money and that is a $400 card... The 6600GT is one of the Top 5 Fastest Cards you Can get Behind the 6800 and the 6800GT and the ATI X850Pro/XT and the 7800GXT and costs about half the Price as cards in simular performance.... Cheers
hey thx for the help and every thing this is what i wanna get tell me what you think! http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1361636&Tab=2&NoMapp=0 ^^^AMD Athlon 64 3400+^^^ 512MB DDR^^^200GB HDD^^^DVD±RW Dual-Layer ^^^It has 2 PIC-E slots aviable BUT are they PIC-E X16???^^^ http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1212069&sku=P450-6800 ^^^ The XFX GeForce 6800 GT ^^^ http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=506183&sku=TC2-DDR-512-3 ^^^ Two of these suckers ^^^ http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1274441&sku=E75-1914 ^^^ and this moniter ^^^ please tell me what you think im trying to build a good pc that'll last a long time and play alll games on very High setting. and it all totals too 1,438.85 in including 48 dollar shipping so is this a fair price or a good deal? sorry im noob at this computer pricing stuff.. have a good night. -roman
Well that is a Good PC and it is a Good Price but I would suggest that you get "DDR 400(PC3200)" Memory rather than DDR333(PC2700), It is Just Faster and doesn"t Cost Much more.... The Gforce 6800GT is one of the Fastest cards in the Nvidia Lineup next to the 6800GT Ultra and the 7800GTX and that is a Fairly good Price and it will Play Most games for the Next several Years..... As for the LCD Monitor they are Nice and Handy because they are so Slim and take up Little Space but they aren"t the Best for Playing Games because there responce Time is Low, They Generally recomend a LCD with a responce Time Less than 16ms for any major Gameing and the one you were looking at was exactly 16ms ,If you can get one with a Faster Responce Time it would be better for Gameing .... OHH...As for the Motherboard if it has 2 PCI-E 16x Slots then those are the Slots you would use for PCI-E Video Cards so the Motherboard can be used with 2 PCI-E video cards in SLI Mode if you wanted but the 2 Video cards have to be the Same Model..... Well Have Fun with your New PC....Cheers
well im buying a lcd moniter with 12 ms response time . and for the RAM im gettin the pc3200 kind it is cheaper nice to save money. and one thing im gettin a different version of the emachine i showed you it jus has the following differences. windows xp media center.1 gig of ram. 200 gig HD. and i believe it only has 1 PCI-E x16 slot. welll thx a lot i already ordered thx cheers mate
hi i want to get battlefield 2 really bad but i dont think ive got the specfication to run the game. 2.4 cpu 112gb 256mb ram geforce mx440 64mb {getting a 128mb next week} opp system xp is this enough to run the game with 256mb ram when i get 128 mb graphics card ??
Well your CPU should be fast enough (As Long as it isn"t a Celeron) You might want to Get another 256mb of Ram.... Also it isn"t the Ammount of Memory that the Card has that matters it is the Speed of the Memory and the Speed of the GPU/VPU on the Card that matters...There are 128mb and 256mb cards out there that will not run Games Like Battlefield 2 because the Memory and the GPU are too slow.... I think you would need at least a ATI Radeon 9600XT or a Nvidia Gforce FX 5700 Ultra to play at medium quality settings and these cards are about $100 But you would be better off spending the extra Money and Getting a ATI 9800 Pro or a Gforce 6600GT or better so you will be able to Play New Games for the Next couple Years.... Cheers
i was thinking of getting a geforce 6800 GT or a ati radeon x800XL i looked at some graphs and ati radeon x800XL has more fps then geforce 6800gt and its 100 bux less.btw the fps were for half-life 2
@roman_s If you're looking at video cards, this would be my recommendation ATi Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition Here is a review (one of many) http://www.hothardware.com/viewarticle.cfm?articleid=610&cid=2
