I found an awesome deal for the RADEON 9600 with 64MB memory. It is however AGP8x. Will this work with my old Pentium 3 which has AGP 2.0 and a max transfer of 4x?

    exellent find jaysfan!

    well as you already know

agp 2.0 can only run 1x/2x/4x agp card.

if the card is an agp 4x/8x your mobo can run it, but only at 4x.
which means it will run slower than normal.

    my suggestion: upgrade your mobo
