Hello, I recently just recently formatted my Toshiba Intel Centrino Duo laptop from Windows Vista to Windows XP. For the longest time, I could not for the life of me figure out how to connect to wireless internet but I found out that my 1394 adapter in the laptop is not wireless. So, today I went and got myself a D-Link Wireless N Nano USB Adapter. I slapped it in my USB and my computer found my access point. The problem is when I connect, the signal will try to aquire an IP address they cut out saying "not connected" and it will keep on doing that. I have ran my ipconfig and it tells me that my IP is 000.000.000.000. I have checked the DNS, the zero package in services, the upnp and dchp. I am now outta options?
i think you are missing other drivers too. is there any exclamation marks or unknown devices in device manager? try this link for your onboard wireless adapter. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/con...19851/eng/ICS_Dx32.exe&lang=eng&Dwnldid=19851
