I just converted some AIFF files to WAV using Winamp 5.24 (none of my other programs could do it) and after I switched back to DirectSound Ouput, I wasn't sure what settings to use.

When I click Configure, under Device it lists:

    01: Primary Sound Driver
    02: SB Audigy Audio [B000]

Primary Sound Driver was already highlighted as the default - should I just leave it as is? What would happen if I switched it to my soundcard output?

The primary is also the Windows Default device. Unless you have multiple sound cards (or drivers) they are the same.
