hello to all im new to your forums but not new with computers. i had winavi 6.3 and i was using it only for converting full avi movies to mpeg-1. it used to convert perfectly in an hour or so but now all of a sudden the frame rate wont exceed 15 fps and takes like 10 hours to convert..please i really need some help.... any help would be appreciated.. thank you
It didn't exceed 15 fps,just for a specific movie or for all movies? And why don't you use v7.6,the new version?
thank you for replying. it happend about a week and a half ago for no reason. it does it to everything,,, it takes so long to convert anything to anything . i left it on aver night to convert a movie and it got to 99% and it didnt go any further.. i have upgraded to the new one but it not any different, the same problem occurs.. please help
It's very strange.Maybe you can try to uninstall it completely and tnen reinstall it.And check your pc,look for if there is anything influence on the software,eg,codec or some other software. And i think the best way is email to winavi,send them the debug.log,they may help you fix this. good luck
ive tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. i have even gone as far as reinstalling windows completly. i have wrote several emails regarding this to winavi and i get responses like "make sure you can play it in windows media player" but if doesnt play then i wouldnt be able to convert it right? i can watch them.. they work perfect i have an all in one codec "ace mega all in one" i send my debug to them but will that help? i dont get an error message.. it just takes forever... its really weird.. its used to work like a charm, then one day out of nowhere i have these problems. winavi is a great program i just wish i can use it.
Sometimes if the file can't play by WMP,maybe it can't be converted by the software.Because maybe the source file has been broken,or you haven't installed the right codec for the file. So they want you to make sure that. If there is any error,they may fix it via the debug.log. You can try to use different files to do different conversion to see if the issue still occur.Or you can try to use another computer. wish it can work for you too
i can play it in wmp perfectly... its really odd. i hope winavi figures out whats wrong. thank for the help kind stranger. if you have any other suggestions, feel free.
i have the EXACT same problem...and i thought i was alone... Anyway i was using 7.6 version and after i had a format and reinstalled everything, the frame rate of batch conversion starts with 65-70 and gradually (usually after the 20% of the conversion has been completed) stucks to 15-16. The strange thing is that before the format i was using the same version with the same codecs and the conversion just took 15 minutes for a 350 mb file. Now for the same file it takes at least 1 hour!!!!. The only thing that changed in my pc after the format is that i added more ram (from 512 mb to 1 gb) and i installed a logiteck webcam. Please if anyone knows whats going on i would be grateful...I have installed and reinstalled all the codecs i thought necessary (now i am having k-lite mega codec pack 1,56 as before)My suspicion is that maybe during the format i just lost some proper codecs i had no idea that helped or maybe my graphics card has something to do with it or even the new ram i added has some problems... i cant imagine what else it could be... please help thanx
