    Hello

I have been using WinAVI for a long time but recently upgraded to there newest release V8.

I Converted an AVI to DVD with the normal great results but there is now a menu?? A Play All Button and scenes which is a great feature from time to time but is more annoying for my needs. Does anyone no of a way to turn this off. ALSO..

After converting 2-3 AVI's to DVD with great results the sound stopped, every time i convert now from AVI to DVD the video is perfect but there is no sound at all??

I checked the Original AVI for sound on the same computer and it played fine, i have also tried other AVI's and still the same no sound once converted.

Does anyone know anything i could do to fix this please.

    Thank you.

Hi! For disabling the menu function, click 'Advanced' next to 'output format' on the conversion window and uncheck 'Enable dvd menu'. As for the sound problem, there is a possibility that some of the codecs might have been broken. You may want to reinstall the relevant codecs or codec pack.

    Good luck!

    Hi
Thanks for your help, some guys in a different forum helped me out to sort it.

Before i posted i had reinstalled all the codecs etc and it didn't help, i did a few troubleshooting things before i posted.

Turns out just to be WinAVI, i installed DVD Flick and ConvertXtoDVD and both came up with great results only thing is it does it slower.

No problem. I use and like Winavi a lot, so regarding the sound problem, you might want to change the audio decoder setting to see if things are better.

    Good luck!

    Hello

yeah i really like it and its the fastest one i have used, i tried changing the decoders and even installed AC3 Filter software to chnage the AC3 Filter settings but again no luck.

When they bring there next verison or upgrade out ill have another go.

    Cheers for the help.

Well, if you also like Winavi, maybe you could try a couple of things more before giving up:

    1) reinstall Winavi

    2) reinstall a codec pack (I have been using K-Lite Mega Codec Pack all along with superb results).

    Cheers!
