I have 4 movie files that I converted using WinAVI.

I set the chapter length to be 10 minutes. When i skip chapters, it only skips to the last chapter of that first file. After that if I want to get to the 2nd episode I have to wait or fast forward to the start of the 2nd episode before I can start to skip chapters again.

This is very annoying when I have 4 episodes on a DVD. Is there a way where it can skip chapters all the way from the first movie file right into the 2nd, 3rd and 4th also?

here are a couple guides to winavi ...though i dont think winavi can actually do that since (as far as i know) its just an encoder:
    http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php...=%&listallusers=&search=Search+or+List+Guides

to link to separate episodes on your dvd youll need authoring sotware and if i remeber correctly (from posts ive read) winavi outputs .vob files which will e a little more difficult to deal with (if possible you want winavi to give you a mpg file. i know that dvd lab will accept vob files but i couldnt tell you how to link the movies using the vob files check these guides for help on that:
    http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php...=%&listallusers=&search=Search+or+List+Guides

here are some other options for authoring (but i duuno which support vob):

another option (a learning curve is involved here) is to use a ifo editor like ifoedit there are some guides here on using that:
