winavi missing codecs ?

    Hi,
    I'm using WinAVI Video Converter V. 7.1 and get a message when launching the program that "Quik time" codec is either improperly installed or missing. 6.5 or higher is needed. I'm paraphrasing since I can't remember the exact quote. In any case I have the latest quick time installed and have tried to find the "codecs" they refer to with no luck.

    Any ideas out there ?
