I'm trying to convert a AVI file to a MPEG1 file using WinAVI. The first couple times I converted, the audio and video was not synchronized. I finally got that straightened away and now the movie wont finish. I convert it all the way to 100% and it works fine on the computer with Windows Media Player but on my DVD player it freezes up about 75% the way through the movie! Also a different AVI to MPEG conversion is gone bad. I hit preview movie to make sure its starting and the movie doesnt start. I let it run and it gets to 100% and i try to open the new "MPEG" file and its nothing! a Blank screen! I'm not trying to waste a DVD-r on it so I'm looking for help.

    1) for converting from avi to mpeg1, you may try Power Video Converter or Advanced X Video Converter.

    2) for no video, you may try download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version) from this site.

    Good luck!

hi leo178, as for the winavi problem, you'd better contact at support@winavi.com for the solutions.
By the way, you said that audio and video was not synchronized, well, you can install the K-Lite codec Package as scf_au advised to have a try.
