   i started with SmartRipper, than DVD2avi, than TMPGEnc. everything worked, i got all the files was needed like an audio, d2v, and the MPEG(1.6G bytes movie file).
   
   tried to play it on windows media player, but it said "an invalid media type was specified".. help...
   
   im tryin to put movies in my hdd so i cant watch it thro windows media player... =)

   As weird as it might sound, your Windoze might be without correct MPEG-1 codecs. Try installing some MPEG player, like Elecard's from here:
   
   http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_players/elecard_mpeg2_player.cfm
   
   ...and see if it helps. Although almost all Windows versions should have correct MPEG-1 codecs installed with them, but these things happen (specially if you have Win95 or 98).
