window xp problem

    I reinstall window XP on my laptop and after installation, I got two problems. One is that if I switch off my laptop, it will get stuck there and fail to power off. The other question is if I insert the earphone, I could still hear the voice without the earphone. Can anyone help me?

    what rebot disc are you using? did it come with the laptop?
