I was just curious, I am planning on purchasing an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor in the future, and I was curious whether or not I need to purchase Windows XP 64 Edition. I just put two-and-two together, and I was just curious. Or can I continue to use my Windows XP Pro? Feedback would be greatful.

Umm and how is using WinXP Pro 32bit going see what bugs are in Vista? Vista is nothing like XP 32bit. Doesnt really share that much in common with XP 64 bit either besides being a 64bit OS and I beleive being based on the Server 2003 Server codebase.

as for Vista, Id wouldnt install that spying DRM laden POS even if MS paid me to or it came free with a processor. I'm keeping WinXP 64bit Pro (OEM and Corp/Enterprise) for as long as I can. Doesnt make any sense to run 32bit OS on AMD x2 IMHO. why even bother spending the money than? coulda got a much cheaper processor if ya were going do that.
