I recently moved my desktop computer that I built to college and I have been having troubles with windows 7 operating system not loading. It first started with troubles with my sound drivers. Now it won't even boot into windows 7. When I turn on my computer it gives me a screen that reads: Then I hit enter and the next page tells me that recent hardware or software changes may have caused the problem. It than tells me to use the windows 7 disc to repair. I tried using the windows 7 disc and followed the instructions and it found no errors. Also tried to use several different restore points which did not work, and also tried to re-install windows 7, but it wasn't finding any hard drives to install into. It then asked me to browse my computer for a place to install and it would bring up my hard drives and all the data on them as well.
pull it out and put it back in again carefully making sure it is all in the right way round and fully home.... a dictionary and some education doesn't hurt y'know it's doing you a favour anyway.. nasty drm riddled crap... probably the installer doesn't have the proper drivers on initial boot to find your drive chipset or something equally moronic.. typical windoze... do some research and see if other people are experiencing the same problems when trying to install on the same motherboard chipset as you have.
I all ready tried that as well. I went through the entire computer and made sure everything was connected properly. I forgot to mention that sorry.
when you try the win7 repair which one on the log files does it show not completed succesfully and any error codes would be great
I fixed it. Thanks for the help. Some how it took reinstalling windows 7, because before when I tried it wouldn't find any hard drives to install to.
