Windows 7 update issues

    I have googled a lot about the latest update issue where in you cannot access the drives stating a error like

    " this file does not have a program associated with it for performing action .please install program or , of one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel"

    As far i read in one of random post in Google i noticed that it was due to the recent update by Microsoft which is scrambling everything and to turn this around and make it work back again is something i am trying but cant get through , i have downloaded ample of softwares i have even done few adjustment as mention in the regedit.exe , but nun of them really made a difference.. So kindly suggest some way to fix it back

    have you tried a system restore to before the problem showed up? edit your sig as per forum rules as only allowed 5 lines of text as you have 8 line of text.

    well i am sorry about the signature , apart from that i don't have the system restore since i have shut it . apart from that is there any other way out?

    do the drives showup in device manager okay or has exclamation mark(s)?

    they show up as normal, The only issue is I cant double click on any drives or folder to open it up. I will have to right click and then click open to open the drives and folder. each time i hit double click on the drives or folder that huge message pop's up . Few topics covered about this but nun of them actually helped ..did all regedit fixing, tried all software for registry fixer. I am left with nothing else now...

    I have even updated to service pack1 and still i am encountering the same issue.I cannot work around the non sense created by that specific update so kindly help me out some how.. i have even tried working this way but currently it dint help me either

    Windows 7's new ability to move and resize windows, all in one movement, can be a genuine productivity boost. But if you find windows moving around when you don't expect it then Aero Snap is more of an annoyance than anything else, though at least it's one you can disable in just a few seconds.Launch Control Panel, click Ease of Access, and select either "Change how your mouse works" or "Change how your keyboard works". Then browse down to the "Make it easier to manage windows" section, check "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen", click OK, and program windows now won't go anywhere unless you specifically command it.
