i'm not sure if this is a hardware, or a software problem, but..
i tried to install windows xp on my other harddrive but after the installation was aparently over, i restarted my computer and then gave me two options: xp professional, or xp professional setup.
Also, the computer will not boot unless both hard drives are in, otherwise it just sais: os not found.

this wasn't a problem to me untill i got myself another hdd. the thing i wanted to do is use one hdd for os and programs, while the other would hold my massive music library. but i can't install windows on my new hdd cuz then i won't be able to turn on the computer.

    any ideas?

Are the hard drives SATA or IDE?
