I have not done anything new to computer I have a modem connected to it but until today everythin was fine Can someone help? thanks
so what do you do after the error?.. have you checked the cables to the drives and that they are properly detected in the bios? honest.. if you built it you should be able to sort this one out
Do a chkdsk c: /f. If the computer was running fine, and now it won't boot, you might have had an abnormal shutdown that corrupted the system files. You can use windows installation cd to get to the command prompt to run the command. The best utility is a bartpe bootcd. Right now it looks like your hard drive isn't being recognize because it's corrupted. If you hooked this drive to another computer it might showup as "RAW" a sure symptom of corruption. Chkdsk will usually fix this problem everytime.
