So just out of the blue windows explorer is showing everything in the filmstrip view (like when you open a file with pictures) but is doing this withh all my files. I've looked at folder options, i don't know what is going on. Any help appreciated
Here's what you can try. Click on the main drive icon. Then, on the right set the view types you want to use, like Thumbnails. Go to Tools, Folder options. Click on the View tab, then click on Apply to all folders. Note: if that makes the changes the way it should, it will do so for every folder in that drive. You can also do that on a per folder basis that includes subfolders.
