Hi, i am having a problem with windows at the moment.i have never had any bother before untill this last week.When i start my computer up it stats to load and before it is finished it freezes.I then have to start it either in safe mode or by doing a system restore.I am using xp i havedone various scans and found nothing ...can anyone help please....many thanks ...
hi, when you say is about to start up and then freezes OR YOU GET A black screen. that can be do to many things like: 1-video card drivers: if you are using a agp card try to get newer drivers from manufact. webpage. remember to boot your pc in safe mode or vga mode that is when booting press many times f8 key until you see a menu then select vga mode or safe mode and uninstall drivers to reinstal new ones. 2-programs bugs if you recently before all this happen instaled a program or aplication try to reinstall a new copy of it because when win is booting its star by loading all drivers progs,and apps if one of them is corruptep or damage it can freeze. 3-system memory try swicthing memory modules if you have more than one example if you have two try to boot with just one them the other. these 3 things comonly can cause win to freeze before it boots so try those solutions. same happens to me and it was my video card drives. *also try reseating video card (if you use agp or pci card). hope i help
