    Hi all,
Recently my two DVD drives, one R/W and one ROM, have both stopped working in Windows. Both of their disk drivers seem to have malfunctioned at the same time.
I have re-installed both drivers and still get the error message:

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."

Aside from re-installing their disk drivers, I'm at a loss for what to try next.
    The drives are:
    HP DVD Writer 740b
    PIONEER DVD-ROM DVD-121

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Kirbosis

are they showing up in device manager?

check you're BIOS and make sure there enabled

and check you're connections on back of the drives inside the tower
