Hey anyone one know how to change the default setup language of a windows 2000 pro to ebglish? I tried the trick off winnt.sif on a floppy, but no luck. Im going to try to get through limping, but any ideas?

Didn't know you could change the install language, cuz all I've ever done are the english versions. I know you can change the default language after the install...try googling that exact question.

I didn't even know it was an option. Every international version I have ever used was specifically regionalized for that country and the setup was in that language. I have used the Spanish and Thai versions. Both could be switched afterwards to use an English UI for menus and such, but even then it still wasn't 100 percent the same as the real English version. Your best bet is to get the version in the language you are going to use primarily instead of trying to force it to use another.

Yeah thats what I ended up doin guys. Thanks! I got it installed and tried like hell, but couldnt figure out in the hay to switch it over to english. Espicially since I didnt speak polish. I even had the winnt.sif stating it to be installed as default english, but for some reason It still installed in polish. So I just installed win home.:>
