I have the Newest version of Windows Live Messenger. I believe its... 8.2 or something, and it is NOT the Beta Version. i am also Notrunning Windows Live Messenger PLUS!

Im running a Legimite version of Windows XP Home edition.
I have never had a problem like this. ever.
Opening the program is fine. it loads up the sign in screen, etc.
once signed in. it will freeze, but does not increase in kernal memory size, nor takes up CPU?(as in the past ive seen it increase in CPU upwards of 99%, and physical memory surpasing 512 kb with previous problems)
it will freeze like...there will be a white line just under the title bar, and the maxmize button is blocked out. it always says (not responding) however i can minimize it. and i can [X] it but it just askes me to end the program.

also. if it makes it past that... i'll change my status (cuz i always sign in as appeared offline) to online, and it will freeze...sometimes for a little more then 1 min, sometimes permanatly.

and, if it makes it past that... and i click to start a conversation with someone, it will periodicly freeze, again anywhere from 30 seconds to perm.

If i sign on another computer....everything works fine.
it loads my pic thats stored on there server...even my personal message. so...this does not make any sence?

another odd thing is..if i leave my msn on for a long period (say 24 hours, as i much do cuz i leave my comp on all the time) it doesn't freeze as much? like...there is no explination to this and its driving me crazyy...

i have done a FULL uninstall, and a full re-install, and this didn't get rid of the problem!
there is no error codes, nothing
and i figured i should post it here instead of another forum where i would have to sign up..etc etc.
    does anyone have WLM experiance??
would be super awsome if they did...cuz this is pissing me off so badly.

    thanks,
    -DJ The Chemist
