I am currently using vista ultimate, but am about to downgrade to xp pro (absolutely sick of vista) although i have taken a liking to windows media centre on vista. was just wondering if there is any way at all for me to be able to run wmc on xp pro. I have searched and searched and nothing has come up. If it isn't possible, can you make suggestions for a reccomended substitute (want one with a really nice, clean gui).

What is so bad about it?I just got my new laptop with Vista home premium and I have no complaints about it
Vista requires too much memory for simple everyday task that you do. I do not want it, and will not put it on my machine. Unfortunately you can not downgrade to XP Pro. You will have to format the drive and start from scratch. That aspect kind of sucks! Did the link I provided look as good as the Vista version?
Thanks for the replies guys. Vista has poor compatability with my games (countless errors while installing battlefield2142, call of duty 2 doesnt work nor does some of the trackmanias) as it is primarily a games and media machine I want to go back to xp to be able to play all my games again. Problem is though that I dont have xp media centre edition I have xp pro. I really just want to be able to run wmc on my copy of xp pro when i reinstall it. Are there any similar programs? all I want is a nice clean easy to use gui like wmc. Thanks in advance guys.
