I inadvertently ended up on a site that starting poping up all these other sites as I tried to exit. I was able to use the tools option to clear the windows media history. However, when I do file open then go to the drop down arrow under file name, these files show up again. I tried deleting windows media and then reinstalling, but they show up again. There must be an imbedded file that needs to be deleted but I cannot identify it. Has anyone experienced this previously and how did you resolve it?
It would keep a record of recent files in the registry. Here's an idea, click start - run. Type regedit, then search it for a filename and hopefully you will find the list of files!
Hasnt anybody ever heard of options? Tools, options, privacy tab, at the bottom is a box asking if you want to keep player history, make sure its unchecked.
